What a 15-yard dumpster actually costs
Most 15-yard rentals cost $425, the flat price. Only three things change it: going over 1.5 tons ($95/ton), keeping it past the 7 days included ($15/day), and the $2/mi fuel surcharge based on your one-way distance from our Monroe yard. Here's what our 2026 customers paid, based on the weight they actually loaded (before fuel surcharge and extra days):
Based on 147 Snappy 15-yard rentals, January–September 2026. Overage is billed at $95/ton on weight above 1.5 tons, measured to the hundredth of a ton. See your exact price at checkout.
How much does a full 15-yard dumpster weigh?
The 15-yard is mostly a homeowner size: just under half of our 2026 15-yard orders were placed by companies, and loads tend to be lighter household debris. Two out of three stayed inside the 1.5 tons included.

What pushes a 15-yard over 1.5 tons
Furniture, boxes and household junk rarely do. Shingles, wet drywall, tile, plaster, soil and brick can, even with the box only partly full. If the job is mostly heavy material, consider a 10-yard for the easier loading or plan for overage at $95/ton.
How we measured: every load is weighed on the landfill scale and recorded on the order. Figures cover every Snappy 15-yard rental with a recorded weight, January 2025 – September 2026. "Company orders" means the order was placed under a business name.

Why a 15 instead of a 10
Same footprint, 50% more room, and half a ton more included for $50. If you're not sure a 10 will hold it, the 15 is cheap insurance against a second haul. 10-yard dumpster details
Why a 15 instead of a 20
The 20 is only $25 more, so choose the 15 for what it does better: it's about 2 ft shorter and 6 inches lower, which helps on shorter driveways and makes hand-loading easier. If there's any chance your job tops 1.5 tons, the extra half ton in the 20-yard usually pays for itself.
Is a 15-yard right for my project?
It's a moderate household cleanout, a small kitchen or bath remodel, flooring for a few rooms, or a move-out, and space is a little tight.
It's one room or a small load of heavy debris.
It's a multi-room remodel, a roof tear-off, or a whole-garage or basement cleanout.

Delivery and placement
The 15-yard sits on the same roughly 12-ft footprint as our 10-yard, so it fits most standard driveways with room to spare. Our driver backs straight in and sets it where you choose. Boards under the rails to protect concrete are available on request. Leave room for our truck to back in straight and clear low wires or branches overhead. The rear door swings open for wheelbarrows. Street placement may need a permit; see permits and placement rules by city.
